The Pilots Insurance Group is committed to ensuring the confidentiality and security of your personal information. The Pilots Insurance Group Privacy Policy detailing our handling of personal information is available on request. You may request access to information held by us about you, the policy or scheme of which you are an insured member, and any other Pilots Insurance Group products or services which you may hold. You can do this by contacting the GuardianFP Limited Privacy Officer.
In order to undertake the management and administration of your Personal Risk Management and / or Investment Needs, it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal information to certain third parties. Unless you consent to such disclosure we will not be able to process your application or administer your insurance, or process your claim. The types of organisations to whom we may need to disclose your personal information include:
- Organisations undertaking assessment of applications
- Organisations undertaking assessment of claims
- Reinsurance organisations for purpose of underwriting your application and assessing claims
- Organisations undertaking compliance reviews of our employees and Authorised Representatives or reviews of the accuracy and completeness of our information
- Organisations providing mailing services, maintenance of our information technology systems, and printing of our standard documents and correspondence
- Trustees of your superannuation fund (if your claim is linked to such a fund), or their appointed administration company who administers your insurance cover on their behalf
We will only disclose your personal information to these organisations to enable them to undertake specified management and administration services. Your health information will only be disclosed to providers such as insurance underwriters, administration companies, and assessors who are directly involved in underwriting your policy or the assessment or management of any claim. Your health information will not be disclosed by the Pilots Insurance Group for any other purpose.
If the policy or scheme of which you are, or are applying to become a member of has an adviser, we will disclose your personal information to that adviser where you have authorised that person to act on your behalf. Should you wish to amend or withdraw your authority for your adviser to act on your behalf, please advise us in writing.
Where you wish to authorise any other parties to act on your behalf, to receive information and/or undertake transactions please notify us in writing.
